Open Secrets; A Path to Contentment is a transformational workshop focused on inviting contentment in your life.
In the teachings of the Dhammapada, and the Sutras of Patanjali, we learn about the path to contentment, and through the learnings these ‘secrets’ open as we put them into practice. Essentially, the teachings are advice for daily living.
This workshop is about going beyond managing your stress. It is about achieving balance, letting go of certain things you cannot control, making mindful choices, and cultivating a mindful practice for contentment.
Happiness is momentary but contentment is about inner peace, and as with the ancient teachings, this program is designed to lead you, step-by-step, toward everlasting contentment.
In this program you will learn to:
- cultivate choice-less awareness of your emotions
- become aware of your patterns of thinking or faulty thinking
- build greater locus of control by shaping the environment
- cultivate a mindful practice for contentment
- embrace detachment, acceptance, observation, compassion, and fear
Duration: 6 hours and can be conducted on an individual or group basis.
For the individual participation, this workshop is taught across three, 2-hours sessions. For group sessions it is conducted on a single day, 10:00am t0 4:00 pm.
