Mindfulness Meditation
Mindfulness Meditation is our online program which combines contemplation and meditation.
The contemplation component is a curated session based on specific predicaments we face in life such as loss, letting go, forgiveness and other existential issues. Mindfulness is the practice of purposely focusing your attention on the present moment—and accepting it without judgment. It stems from the Buddhist traditions, and in this practice, we nurture mindfulness through a sitting meditation.
We can think of mindfulness as
“awareness of the present moment with acceptance” – Germer, 2005
or
“the awareness that emerges through paying attention on purpose and, non-judgmentally, to the unfolding of experience moment-to-moment” – Kabat-Zinn,
There are numerous benefits to mindfulness, and in this busy environment, it is ideal for reducing anxiety, it can prevent and aid with depression, with focus, and can increase inner contentment and spiritual connection.
