Unshakable: Building Emotional Resilience
Unshakable is a transformational workshop for building emotional resilience.
In 2003 Hara Estroff Marano, Editor-at-Large for Psychology Today, wrote in her article “The Art of Resilience”:
“At the heart of resilience is a belief in oneself—yet also a belief in something larger than oneself.
Resilient people do not let adversity define them. They find resilience by moving towards a goal beyond themselves, transcending pain and grief by perceiving bad times as a temporary state of affairs… It’s possible to strengthen your inner self and your belief in yourself, to define yourself as capable and competent. It’s possible to fortify your psyche. It’s possible to develop a sense of mastery.”
On a day-to-day basis, we are dealing with human interactions and relationships. Some of these can be distressing or stressful, whether it is dealing with a difficult child, an unfriendly colleague, having a misunderstanding with a family member, or being the subject of a vicious rumour.
How do you emerge with a deeper awareness and confidence in handling these trials and tribulations, with a sense of inner peace, dignity, and confidence?
In this program you will learn:
- what the competencies are for building emotional resilience, and how to develop emotional resilience
- to understand how you use your emotions to shape your environment, and interactions
- to understand and assess your resilience, and how others perceive you
- how you use and manage your emotions to work with anxiety anger, despair, denial, positivity, hostility, rumours, and aggression.
- the factors that drain resilience
- how to use mindfulness to cultivate emotional resilience
